  Wondered why the poor rating, but saw the all you could eat fajitas and thought we would give it a try. 2 of 3 meals came out 48 minutes after being seated. Wife's shaved beef was cold. Son"s pasta was good, but small portion. Waited 54 minutes for fajitas, and they were good. The problem really wasn't the food, but the service. Our waitress was very apologetic and kind, but appeared to need training. I would lay the blame on the management for not properly training their employees and not supporting them as the manager failed to interact with us. She left all of the difficult conversations to our waitress. Definitely not leading from the front.

  As a chain, Montana's has a lot going for it. Their sauces are better than Tony Romas, their email coupons give you free food without purchase, and the atmosphere and food are great. However, this particular location left much to be desired. Their first, and, for me, greatest failure was in their seating time. We were told it'd be 5 minutes, it was actually 20 minutes, and when we sat down, half the restaurant was empty! I never saw anyone sit at the tables the entire time, and even then the booths weren't filled. I don't understand why we weren't seated immediately at any of the dozen empty and prepped tables. The waitress took our drink and appetizer orders soon after we were seated, and another waitress brought out our appetizers only a moment later, which was quite impressive. But then our waitress didn't return for over 20 minutes to take our order! To top it off, the food took another 30-40 mins, and one of the orders came up wrong. To their credit, they did a good job fixing the wrong order, and the waitress was pleasant and visited frequently once our order was taken. But it was rather frustrating that our dining experience took twice the time we were expecting. The number of issues, and how easily avoidable the first two were, makes me question the management of this location. I don't know if I'd visit this location again, but I'd definitely visit a different Montana's.
